HSM, Girls camp and my little anoucement!

Sorry about the Lack of posting latley, i havent had time. so heres the story.
Monday was my last night performing HSM we had 10 performances all together in 2weeks!
it was pretty hectit. The cast and crew was amazing and so talented i was so sad it had to end!! i was so proud of everyone they did a great job.

End of July I went to girls camp with my ward and we went up to American fork,
a couple of us had some scratch and bruises but other than that everyone was fine,
oh and our leaders thought they saw a bear and freaked out, it was so not a bear, next time look harder and you'll see a deer.:) Our leaders are amazing i dont think anyone els would have put up with our prank pulling and stringing the whole entire camp site to the point where you couldnt really walk. and let me say the "snipe" hunt
was classic. lol.

OK, on to my little annousment, ok BIG annoucment.

I, Roma Jones hereby annouce that......
I AM GOING TO SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!
My parents decided that since they love and cherish and trust me so much that they are going to allow me to skip a grade and go to Paradigm High school,
Well there only letting me go part time so every B day, so tenichally im still homeschooling on A days, but its a start.
School started monday, and i LOVED IT! the first three days are Jump start days meaning there half days and they have workshops that kind of tell you what paradigms about and stuff.

Hello Everyone...
I know it's been forever since I've posted but I've been super busy.
SO on June 30th we performed @ the conference center. The dances were amazing and the spirit was so strong there is was such an unforgettable experience and i wouldn't trade it for anything. President Monson Talked about the importance of testimonies and Values, you know all that jazz. i've made so many new friends and i am so thankful that i've got to have that experience. its not something you can forget ... putting on a huge celebration to celebrate your temple.

Athena's birthday was on the 10th she celebrated it by going to a princess fesival with Sage and her 3 best friends. and having a spectacular birthday party!

Zephyr's birthday was also this month he turned 1 on the 21st. let me just say not a very good experience. he hadn't had a nap and my mom thought it would be great to have him eat his '"Car" cake with out a fork. we ended up with a angry baby and cake on the floor. but then he shut up once i actually tried it.

Hey everyone! sorry i havent written much. The temple celebration has taken up alot of my free time. and has made me exhausted. you would be too if you've had practice from 5-10 at the conference center, and that doesn't even include travel time. I have been having a blast though! the dances and music are UNBELIEVABLE! and just thinking that i'll have the oprotunity to dance 5 feet in front of the prophet is amazing to think about!
We are perfoming this saturday so wish me luck! there has been talk about it being broadcasted to stake centers all over the world but i dont know if thats the case. but if it does end up happening my dance is the 50's dance.

oh yeah i have some good news!! i tried out for South Jordan's community theatre's production of High School Musical and i got the part of one of the Cheerleaders!

Our dance is coming together so well! everyone is working so hard and have dedicated so much time to this! Hours and hours have been spent trying to make this the absolute best. i cant wait to see it when its all done! The performance is almost here! Hey Everyone,
Geuss who's 13!!!! (my birthday was April 14)
Me and my friend Courtney combined our party this year, because our birthdays are 5 day apart the only difference was that i was turning 13 and she was turning 15.
And let me just say i had a BLAST!!!! but boy am i glad that's over!
there where like 37 people there! thank you to Courtney's parents for letting us use there house.
We had a Luau themed party completed with a ton of food and a chocolate fountain! how they go together i don't know, all i know is that it was GOOOOOOD (thank you and Cheryl for letting us use your decor)
And boy did we have an awesome cake! Courtney's aunt blew me away! she made a a beach with a palm tree it was AMAZING!
i would post some pics but unfortunately .... we didn't really get any.
Also happy birthday to Camry, Bella and Avery!

So if you read my moms blog you'll know all about how she played the meanest April Fools day joke on me. But if you didn't read it ill just tell you again.
So Two weeks ago apparently David Archuleta came and sang for another stake that is doing the temple celebration. i guess to give them "inspiration" And when my friends found out about that they were very upset that Daybreak stake didn't invite us (they are what you call "Crazy" fans, no offense:)

So about a week ago my mom asks my friend Alex while we are driving if she knows who the "special" person that it coming on Wednesday is (Alex's mom is the choreographer) Alex has no idea. when i ask my mom what in the world she is talking about she replies " Well, if Alex's mom hasn't told her then maybe you arnt supposed to know."

Well she had me going for that hole week thinking someone special was coming. and she dropped a few hints saying that it was a dancer, a girl, and she is on a show that we watch every week. Well i put two and two together and i knew the only show that we watched every week that had dancing was dancing with the stars. so i thought Jullianne Hough was coming.

My mom had all of my friends in on it, and Alex's mom too.(which btw thank you guys for siding with my mom dont you have any dignity!) I spent all of wedding getting ready.
So when that night rolls around i see Ellie walk in with a blonde wig and her "dance" uniform and she walks up to me and says "Hi im Jullianne Hough"
I was mad.
Very.
Very.
Mad.
Luckily not that many people saw her though. just most of the boys. and they thought it was "super funny"
I still dont forgive them
I promise you mom i will get back at you!!

A Once in a lifetime experience

Hello Everyone,
As some of you know there is a Temple being built right here in Daybreak. Called the Oqiurrh mountain temple. It is in it last stages of completion. so I get to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity. All of the stakes in daybreak get to do a dance/ or be in the Choir. Every stake has a theme to the dances and i think we have the best theme. we get to do the 50's!!!!! and there talking about getting a old fashioned soda fountain, some old 50's cars and building slides! And to top it all of we get to perform in front of the Prophet and the Counselors!! Our stake pres. says that there is going to be 51,000 youth participating in the program! Its insane!!!
I am so exited to be in this. and i cant wait to perform!!! alhtough i have to wait till the very end of may i am counting down the days already.

Hey Everone!
I feel like a horrible sister. Why?
Well I kinda sorta forgot Sages Birthday. It was yesterday. March 3rd.
I didnt actually relize it was her birthday untill i got home from a friends house that night and she said to me.
"Geuss what Roma!"

To which i replied "what?"

"We went to Ihop"

"Huh? why didnt anyone tell me this. i am starving."

" And im getting a bike!"

So yeah i kinda forgot. Even though she has been talking about it for weeks and has been begging my mom to plan her party since January by saying "MY BIRTHDAY IT SO CLOSE!!"

This is kinda late but i thought i post about it anyway.
In January my stake did a Youth Fast and we all got together and ate dinner (wich btw was WAY yummy) and we talked about all the things that we could fast for in out lives. It was interesting to me because i have never done that before and it made me relize what an impact we can make when we come together. I was a great experience and one i will never forget.

Today at Utah's Hogle Zoo, was homeschoolers get in free day (my mom love the word free) so for school we went and I had a BLAST! Unfortunalty my camera refused to work so we had to buy a disposable so i dont have any pictures. I have never been to a zoo before so i wasnt really sure what to expect. But it was awesome. my favorite part was when we saw the penguins and the giraffes. But i think Ellie was more exited then everyone combined. I had an AESOME TIME!! thanks mom for taking us!!

so even though all the books that i have read on the Titanic scare the heebie jeebies out of me and made me never want to go on a big boat ever i am totally i love with those books. all the things that everyone went through and how stupid the owners of the boat where by not smart and didnt put enough life boats on the boats causing almost a 3rd of the people on board to die because the boat is suppousedd to be "unsinkable." although i have yet to see the movie in wich Leonardo DiCaprio dies (not that sad. sorry Leo)

well it took me forever but i am finally posting about the new years
On New Years eve. Ellie invited alot of her friends over and they watched a movie and all that. and boy was it crazy.

On New Years Eve night i spent it at Alex's house!! her Mom was having a Party at her house so she invited me and Courtney to come (well it isnt a party without us:) we played Taboo, and this game i have never heard of called Noahs Ark. I kinda stunk at that game. And before we knew it it was Midnight:( I dont think i was too ready for 2009 but. im glad 2008 is behind us.

Then the day after New years eve. (so like New Years Day.)
I invited Courtney, Alex, Erendira and my new friend Wynne over and we had a blast!!!

Hey Everyone!
Christmas came and went so fast! so heres what i did.
1. Rylee came up to visit me and we had a blast! we went to Ikea and took crazy pictures, shopped! and just hung out. i still have no idea how we pulled it off in 4 hours and got her on a plane for the next day.

2. Christmas was great! On Christmas Eve we hung out at my moms Bff's house with there family and had a big dinner. And we also went to temple square It WAS SO COLD!.But they didnt turn on the lights before we had to leave.:( The wind was Blowing SO hard that the snow on the street looked like it was dancing.
Then in christmas morning we didnt wake up till 9 (there was no point in waking up earlier the presents will still be there no matter what time you wake up)
A couple of years ago Santa did a treasure hunt. so the old man thought he'd do it again this year.
I didnt get anything to exiting unless you count all the clothes i got. (which was alot!)
Athena got some Barbies and a pony that walks (she is so scared of that thing.)
Ellie got a radio. (so now she wont steal mine.)
And Sage got............. well Sage just got stuff.:]Well she did get some Boots and a Best Friends jacket to share with her best friend Tayla. the jacket zipes in half so the you zip the two half together. (see picture below)
By the time we where done opening presents, the snow on the ground was at least 5 ft. and it just kept on snowing. So that night i made it my job to shovel the snow for 3 hours. then my body ached the rest of the night.
After that we went to go see Bedtime Story's at the movie theater.

There is only on reason why it was the saddest.
1. Even thought we have lived in Utah for 3 years this is the first one we have actually spent it in Utah. so it was really hard to not be with our family.

So me, Courtney and Erendira thought really long and hard about what to give our friends for christmas and since we pretty much all have the same friends we decided to give our presents together. Well we thought LONG and hard and we wanted to give them Chocolate but that ended up not working out. so we got desprate and tried to make somthing without a recipe. not such a great idea.
well we came up with what we call Holly Balls, wich is pretty much,
Marshmellows, red Frosting, Sprinkles, and A little bit of Green frosting.
they where not even edible. they where so NASTY!
Then we tried to make chocolate covered popcorn. well that worked untill we made to much popcorn for the white chocolate. so then we used regular chocolate. lets just say i was the only one that liked it. (thats cus im sugar deprived:])
We ended up getting in a Powdered Sugar fight so here is all the pics

So i finally got my braces off......... and then i got them put on 10 minutes later. why may you ask do i have to get them on AGAIN! after 3 years of them already. well since i haven't been to the amazing ortho in 2 years.I was just one of those lucky ones that gets to say I've had my braces on twice. And boy dose my TEETH hurt!!!!! the pain is agonizing. But at least nobody calls me "metal mouth" anymore.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3!!

So just before High school Musical came out me and Courtney entered to win 6 free tickets @ Harmon's, to go see high school musical. We didn't expect to win.......... BUT WE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and Courtney took our friends Alex and Erendira........ oh her dad too. It was a really cute movie (after a while we got over how cheesy it was and stopped laughing.) They had a special movie theater reserved for those who had won tickets, and they had free popcorn and soda!!!!!!
From now on i am going to enter every movie contest i see!!!!!

Athena, Athena, Athena. is what i say most she is the #2 most head strong person in this house (sage is #1) that little girl says the weirdest most radomest things like........ when my mom left the presidential debat on TV the rest of the night she went around saying Brack Obama! or when i accidentally bumped her she turns around and says "you are making me angry". or when she had a friend over and i walk past and she says " thats my sister Roma, she is very pretty, but she is also mean. like one time she stole my red crayon" or when we where going through the bin of halloween costumes she put on a tiger costume and wouldnt take it off so she fell asleep in it and when she woke up she says to my mom "mom i hate this tiger costume cause when i woke up it was all up my BUTT!" or when someone get in trouble she says "ooo your in trouble."

So @ the end of August we went to las vegas!

The other day Athena comes up to me with her Dora backpack and says "i am going to the store ok"?
so i think she doesn't mean the real store so i say "ok Athena have fun"
then i hear the front door open and i run out side and Athena is walking up the street and i go "Athena where are you going"?
" To the store"
i laugh and tell her she can't because the store is to far away and she dosent have any money
and she goes "oh man i wanted cookies"

We have been trying to teach Athena to cross the street so this is her way of doing that

Girls camp at Aspen Lakes

Hey everyone, well I just got back from girls camp!!!it was so much FUN!!!

On the 29th we met at the stake center and let me tell ya IT WAS CRAZY!!!!!! there was 220 GIRLS! (we have 14 wards in our stake) we checked in and got on the buses ( there was so many of of we took school buses) it was my first time on a school bus and it really wasn't that exiting being mushed together we where split up into years but there were so many first years we couldn't all even fit on one bus!(there were 75 first yr)
we stoped in the mountains for a hike (which i have certified for 2 times and proud of it) we where all split up into groups and my group was just so cool that we axadently went on the fourth year hike ( so now i think i should get that passed off and not have to do it when i am 15 :)
when we where done with the hike we drove to our camp site, we unpacked and set up,
we had to use four tents for everybody in the group (including our leaders) which is as many as we had for a ward at kolob!
well we didn't do much that day exept for eat (they where kind enough to cook for us)
an we made cute little journals

the next day we woke up bright and early 6:00AM!!! are bedtime was 10:30 (but of couse no body listens to that) so we where tiered
that day we got to go swimming, canoing and ZIP LINING! i went on the zip line twice it was AWESOME!
but most of the day we spent listening to speakers.
that night each group prepared a skit and whoever wanted to do a talent was able to preform
i thought we were going to be there ALL NIGHT and we pretty much where we didn't get to bed till MIDNIGHT!

and of course the next day we had to wake up BRIGHT AND EARLY!
that day we spent most of the day out of the shade.
We did an obstacle course, swam and a hole bunch of stuff (and as a result i couldn't wash my hair when i got home because of the sun burn on my head)
that night we had testimony meeting and we where there till like eleven but (thankfully) the generator for the mic and the lights stopped working so that was the end of that

the next day we just packed and taked it was kinda sad having to leave but i still talk so some of the girls in my group and i MISS THEM!!!! (Sabrina, Sarah, Shelby :)

WE HAVE A NEW ADDITION TO THE JONES FAMILY! He was born June 21 2008 and 12:58 am
It took a while for a name, but he has finally got one, no more baby ones. We named him Chickeez. Jk his name is Zephyr Jett Jones and he is so mellow, you don't even know he is around. He is 3 1/2 weeks old now and it is amazing how fast he has grown compared to what he used to look like . We will be doing a baby blessing in Vegas probably in August.

Girls camp at Kolob

On the 20th of June I went to Girls Camp with my Aunt Loretta's and Cheryl’s ward. we got up Early, packed the cars, and drove to Kolob. Then we pitched our tents and we set up camp. Then we did roll call, where all the wards meet and do a song and the announcements. I don't remember what we did after that, But one of the ycl's fell off the zip line cause she didn't get strapped in tight enough. She is OK though. She came back the next day.

The next day we woke up bright and early (the first and last time we would) There was a first year hike, but I didn't go because I had already passed it off, so I decided to stay and work on the skit we were going to do that night. I don't remember much after that, but most of the day was free time so we made bracelets, decorated rocks with puffy paint and worked on the skit and I was the star of it. For the skit Bronwyn (a fourth year) did all of our makeup. It was cool. That night we did our skit: it was really fun. Three the leaders in the stake were judges, so they acted like Simon, Paula and Randy. It was really funny. We didn't place first or second (the ycls placed first), but I loved it any way.

The next morning we ate breakfast, and had free time, then we did a service project( we cleaned up the roads) and we made lip gloss and bracelets. and after that we went on a little hike around the camp and then we got to TAKE SHOWERS!!! Although it was a waste since we were going home the next day. Then we did archery and got to go on the zip line. It was so fun!

On the last day, all we did was pack up camp and clean up garbage. The way out seemed to take longer than the way in. It was like a never ending road !

While we were at camp, we had a secret sister. Mine was Lexi, my kinda cousin. She is my cousins cousin, but I count her as one cause we always go to family events together.

I was sad to leave, but I hope I get to go again next year, but I have my new wards camp coming up!

MY NEW HOUSE IN JORDAN!!

Hey everyone. Yes I have moved to South Jordan. I know, I cant believe it either. We left Monday night around nine thirty and arrived on Tuesday at two in the morning! We like it here. In our community it has a community garden, water park, a ton of parks and a community center and pool' all within walking distance :). And there is a shopping district just down the street. There are alot of houses around here . I haven't made any friends yet,but it is only my second day here, but I hope I do. I'll tell you a little about the house. It has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths ,a den, lots of living space and it has an unfinished basement that hopefully one day will be finished! I have my own room and the girls are sharing for now. I am tired of unpacking, but in the end it will all be good. Who knows mabye we'll come back to Cedar or Vegas.

On Saturday Ellie and I were going to our friend's, Brittany and Courtney's, to help babysit, but was i wrong. It was really a surprise going away party that they had some how was planned in one day. I was in shock! It was so much fun. We ate dinner (hot dogs and chips) and then we watched movies and roasted marshmallows and hung out. It was the best thing anybody could have done for me and Ellie.

On the third of this month my ward went up to Salt Lake for youth conference. We woke up on Tuesday at six am, then we arrived at around nine and went to Welfare Square, where we got to see how the bishop store house food is made and canned and where it goes . Then we went to Ensign Peak and ate lunch and hiked, then we went to the Salt Lake cemetery to see Pres. Hinkley's grave. (Period , On the back of the headstone there was an engraving that said that the head stone was made out of extra stone. from the temple . I thought that was cool. Then we went to a Joseph Smith movie and we had free time the rest of the night.
On Wednsday the girls woke up first and we went to the Salt Lake temple to do baptisms (for the dead, It was beautiful. I don't know why, but I always pictured temples to be white. instead this one was gray, and when you were inside you felt like there where no trouble in the world, even though we had to run through the rain . Then we went to the church office buildings and we got to look around there. Then we went to eat lunch at the Lion House. They had really good food. After that, we went to the humanitarian center where we got a tour and did some service projects. We were all split up into four groups, two of us doing new born kits, the others doing something else. In my group we did the newborn kits. We put one blanket and hat, one night gown and socks, four diapers and safety pins and a card saying it was from the church . In the end, our leader figured out how many we made and I think it was like four thousand. After that we went to the Taylorsville Institute where we ate and did a testimony meeting. After that we left for home.
I really enjoyed doing youth Conference and I hope I get to do it again soon.

On Saturday i went up with my friend McCall Shill and her family to her cabin in Brian Head . It was so fun. We rode 4-wheelers, played in the snow,watched movies and took walks and even though it is spring it SNOWED up there ! We even found something cool. We saw something fall from the sky. It was this space thing or something, and it said, "Property of space data, if found please contact" and the rest was ripped off. I put some pictures below. I had tons of fun.

this year was one of the best Christmas's ever in my ipinon. we spent Christmas at my aunt Cherida's, and saw all are family.
